The Drs. Jun Li and Bo Hu labs at Houston Methodist Research Institute are seeking a highly motivated and skilled postdoctoral researcher in electrophysiology. This unique opportunity is ideal for candidates passionate about pioneering technology platforms centered around electrophysiology, including extracellular single-cell recording, patch-clamp, chemogenetics, and two-photon microscopy for functional imaging. The selected candidate will delve into the fundamental neurophysiological mechanisms underlying inherited peripheral nerve diseases, employing rodent models alongside advanced quantitative in-vitro slice-electrophysiology, dynamic live cell and tissue imaging, and cell biological approaches. This position is supported by NIH-funded grants.
