The CARE Clinic Overview: Dedicated to advancing healthcare, The CARE Center at Dignity Health St. Mary Medical Center specializes in providing comprehensive, interdisciplinary care to individuals diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. Our services include STD and HIV screening and treatment, alongside innovative Biomedical Prevention Services like PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) and PEP (non-occupational Post Exposure Prophylaxis).

Position Requirements:

  • Licensure: Must possess a Medical Board license (MD/DO) valid in California.
  • Specialization in Internal/Family Medicine, or Infectious Disease is required.
  • DEA & Furnishing License: Candidates must hold a valid license and DEA.
  • Experience & Interests: Prior experience or a strong interest in treating and diagnosing
    HIV/AIDS in an outpatient primary care setting is essential. A commitment to working with LGBTQ patients is highly valued.

Certifications:

  • AAHIVM Certification: The selected candidate is required to obtain AAHIVM
    Certification or HIV specialist equivalent within 18 months of hire.
